Chelsea transfer target has €20m release clause

Chelsea have signed many promising youngsters in recent years, and their latest target is in Spain: Deportivo La Coruña winger Yeremay Hernández.

In recent weeks, the Premier League giants have submitted two offers for Yeremay: the first, which was rejected, was valued at €10 million, while their last offer was €12 million, and has yet to receive answer.

Deportivo may also choose to reject this as Chelsea are unlikely to allow the 22-year-old to remain at the Segunda club for the rest of the season if a deal is reached. In this sense, the only way to reach an agreement is if his termination clause is activated, which according to ED is valued at 20 million euros.

According to the report, Napoli have recently joined the race for Yeremay, who they see as a possible option to replace the recently deceased Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. However, at the moment they are losing to Chelsea.

There is no doubt that Yeremay is a very important player for Deportivo, but an offer of that amount would surely be too good to refuse. However, losing one of their key players for the rest of the season would be a huge blow, especially as they are currently involved in a relegation battle.
