Cristiano Ronaldo ready to leave Al-Nassr at the end of his contract – he will not retire

When Real Madrid legend Cristiano Ronaldo moved to Saudi Arabia, many considered it the final stage of a brilliant career. However, the Portuguese, who will turn 40 in February, is open to starting again.

After a failed return to Manchester United, Ronaldo signed for Al-Nassr in a big-money deal for 2023, which expires next summer. Like many of Europe’s top players, he is available to sign a new contract on January 1. Speaking at the Globe Soccer Awards, Ronaldo confirmed that he was open to offers and noted that “you never know what can happen in the future.” Marca goes on to say that Ronaldo doesn’t want to leave Saudi Arabia without winning a title there, but if the right offer comes along, he will be open to accepting it. However, he has no intention of retiring and wants to continue setting and breaking records.

Ronaldo recently surpassed the 1,000 goal mark and this season he has 16 goals and 3 assists in his 19 games for the Saudi giants. It would certainly be a big surprise if he moved to another Saudi team, but the number of clubs able to pay his salary, if not reduce their demands, is probably limited to the Middle East. Ronaldo has sometimes been linked with a move to Türkiye, but those rumors have been dismissed.
