WATCH: Mallorca player headbutts own teammate during Barcelona defeat

Mallorca had been enjoying a strong season until Tuesday, when they were handed a heavy 5-1 defeat at home by La Liga leaders Barcelona. While several players underperformed, left-back Johan Mojica had a particularly tough game.

Mojica struggled throughout the match, being repeatedly challenged by Lamine Yamal. His costly mistake led to Barcelona’s opening goal, and later, he fouled Yamal inside the penalty area, resulting in a penalty that put Barcelona 3-1 up. Just before Raphinha scored from the spot, Mojica was seen headbutting his Mallorca teammate, Manu Morlanes, in an unusual moment of frustration.

It was an outburst rarely seen on the field, reflecting Mojica’s growing frustration throughout the match. Mallorca will be eager to recover from this setback in their next match against Celta Vigo on Friday.
