The consequences of Real Marid’s 3-3 draw in La Liga against Rayo Vallecano have continued with greater attention on Vinicius Junior.
Los Blancos toured the capital looking to close the title gap on Barcelona despite having struggled in recent trips to Vallecas.
The visitors came back twice that night, but when Rayo roared back in the second half, the hosts sealed a point against the defending champions.
Vinicius Jr did not start against Rayo, the Brazilian was introduced as a substitute at the last moment and was reprimanded for dissenting later.
He reacted angrily to a decision against him and a fifth yellow card of the campaign means he will miss the final league game of the year against Sevilla on December 22.
Rayo fans mocked Vinicius’s warning and chanted at him as he left the field, and the forward seemed to get angry with the local fans with a mocking gesture about the club’s possible relegation in 2025.
