South African legend Allan Donald picks two Indian stars he would love to see in the SA20 league

SA20 2025 will start in January

Donald’s comments come at a time when the SA20 league is gearing up for its third season, set to begin on January 9, 2025. The league has already made a mark as one of the most exciting T20 tournaments outside the IPL, thanks to its attractive cricket. high-profile international players and the involvement of IPL franchise owners in team management. However, the inclusion of top-class Indian cricketers remains a distant dream due to the BCCI’s strict policies on players participating in foreign leagues.

During a virtual interaction with the media, Donald did not hold back his admiration for the Indian duo of Virat Kohli and jasprit bumrah. Enthusiastically expressing that he would emulate Kohli as a batsman and unequivocally choose Bumrah as a bowler, Donald underlined his extraordinary talent, consistency and game-changing abilities. Their comments reflected an understanding of their global appeal and the unparalleled star power they bring, emphasizing the immense value these players add to any cricket event.

“Oh my gosh, that’s… where do I start? Where do I start getting a player from there? My God, my God. If I am a batsman, I am Virat Kohli all around. If he is a bowler, 100 per cent Bumrah. 100 percent” Donald said as quoted by Times of India.
