Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has decided on what he believes will be his best team for the future. Los Blancos have been tinkering to find the right system in the first six months of the season, and it now appears the Italian has an XI in mind.
Looking ahead to 2025, one of the key factors will be the return of Eduardo Camavinga, who has seen his status elevated to untouchable, alongside Jude Bellingham and Fede Valverde in midfield. Bellingham will start behind the first three formed by Rodrygo Goes, Kylian Mbappé and Vinicius Junior in a flexible 4-2-3-1, which will allow the Englishman to continue attacking the area.
While in terms of personnel the only significant change is that Camavinga now has one place ahead of Aurelien Tchouameni, the fact that Vinicius, Mbappé and Rodrygo are all fully fit and in top form is now evident. Especially in Rodrygo, whom Ancelotti promised to keep in the team, as the club’s hierarchy wanted.
Tchouameni retains faith in Ancelotti, Relevo says, and will start him whenever possible, but it looks like that could be in defense for the most part, with doubts over him from others.
Ancelotti has backed him as the man to set the tone in Real Madrid’s midfield following the departure of Toni Kroos, but there have been rumors that the club are considering selling him next summer. Tchouameni has battled injuries and inconsistency since arriving at the club two and a half years ago, but has not developed as many expected.
