Real Madrid have been struggling to break down Valencia’s defense since Los Che took the lead, and Vinicius Junior has not made things easier for his team, leaving them with 10 men for the closing stages.

Los Blancos saw Jude Bellingham miss a penalty early in the second half, and then Kylian Mbappé’s goal was disallowed minutes later. Carlo Ancelotti’s men continued to press for an equalizer and, with 15 minutes left, Vinicius was in the area, and not for the first time.

When Valencia goalkeeper Stole Dimitrievski clearly told him to get up, Vinicius reacted by pushing him with both hands in the face. After the VAR review, Vinicius was fired.

Real Madrid’s concern will be that Vinicius has not been left alone. Outraged by the decision, he tried to go after the referee. Antonio Rudiger had to manhandle him in the tunnel to avoid more problems.
