In the coming weeks, Barcelona should be able to call on the services of Andreas Christensen, who has been out since August after undergoing surgery for a worrying Achilles tendon injury. He was partially involved in training with the group earlier this week, so his return to action won’t be far away.
Once Christensen returns, Hansi Flick would have five senior center back options: Pau Cubarsi, Íñigo Martínez, Ronald Araujo, Christensen and Eric García. Given that Barcelona is also already working on the signing of Jonathan Tah for next summer, the door opens for the departure of one of these players.
According to Sport, García is the most likely to leave, and could even end up leaving the club during next month’s transfer market.
With Araújo and Christensen nearing their returns, a January move for Eric García is on the table. @AdriiFdez

Garcia was used as a makeshift midfielder earlier in the season because the likes of Frenkie de Jong and Gavi were injured, but now that almost everyone is back it means his prominence is very low. Barcelona needs to make sales to balance its accounts, and theirs makes sense.
