Real Madrid goes into half-time with a 1-0 lead in La Liga in Girona.
Los Blancos aim to close the title gap to two points with a win in Catalonia, as league leaders Barcelona drew 2-2 at Real Betis today.
Despite the lack of chances at both goals at the Estadi Montilivi, it was Real Madrid who took advantage of the only opportunity, through the in-form Jude Bellingham.
Bellingham is starting to improve in front of goal, after an injury that interrupted the start of the campaign, and put the visitors ahead in the 38th minute.

As Girona failed to clear a loose ball inside the penalty area, Bellingham kept his low shot into the bottom corner, for his fifth league goal in five league appearances.
Real Madrid’s victory will be a key boost for the visiting team ahead of their midweek UEFA Champions League trip to Atalanta.
