The League will present the public’s chants against Vinicius Júnior and its reaction within the framework of the Anti-Violence report

The League has decided to include the events of Saturday night in Vallecas in its report to the Anti-Violence Committee this week. The Rayo Vallecano fans directed some of their chants at Vinicius Junior, and the Brazilian did not take long to respond.

According to Diario AS, La Liga will include chants of ‘Vinicius, pelota de playa’, a derivative of ‘Vinicius, Ballon d’Or’ used to mock his second-place finish behind Rodri Hernández at this year’s awards show. Vinicius then reacted to the public, pointing a two to the fans with his hand, which many interpreted as ‘you’re going to Second’.

Each week, La Liga submits a report to the Anti-Violence Committee, which often focuses on offensive chants from the crowd or players. These incidents are then evaluated by the Committee, which recommends punishments that can often result in fines. More serious cases, such as racism, often involve bans and recommendations for legal action.

It seems quite exaggerated to include both Vallecas “incidents.” The chants of the Rayo fans are not offensive, they simply provoke, and while Vinicius’s gesture is not exactly elegant, it is not offensive either: he is within his rights to respond to those mockery.
