Real Valladolid won for the first time in La Liga since October when they defeated Valencia on Friday night, and that result took them off the bottom of the table. Less than 24 hours later, they have already confirmed their new head coach.
Earlier this week it was reported that an agreement had been reached with Diego Cocca, who has directed in Argentina and Mexico but never in Europe. The appointment was made official on Saturday, with the 52-year-old coach initially signing until the end of the current season.

La Pucela has confirmed that Cocca will be accompanied by Marcelo Goux (technical assistant), Renso Valinoti (physical trainer) and Ignacio Laurino (analyst).
The head coach position had been vacant in Valladolid for almost two weeks, following the dismissal of Paulo Pezzolano following the 5-0 home defeat to Atlético Madrid on 30 November. Cocca hopes to have a good start to his tenure, and his first game in charge will be against Girona next Friday.
