Real Madrid returns to training without star forward or David Alaba but with optimism

‘Now the good begins’ was the message in Valdebebas among the Real Madrid first team, which returned to training after a week of Christmas break. However, they did so without two key members of their side.

Although Carlo Ancelotti announced that he would be present at training on December 30, Diario AS points out that he did not participate in the session with the rest of the group. The whites had a tough session with many explosive movements and, in his words, Alaba is not yet ready for it. They did almost four hours of training between work on the pitch and in the gym, but Real Madrid decided not to subject Alaba to such a demanding session.

Rodrygo Goes was also absent from the session for personal reasons, but will return to action tomorrow, when the white team holds its annual training session open to the fans. The message was positive on the training ground and the players are enjoying the decisive phase of the season in which the titles are decided.

The whites return to action against Valencia on Friday, January 3 at Mestalla, against bottom team Ché. It’s the start of a busy January for Real Madrid, who will then contest the Copa del Rey against Deportiva Minera before facing RCD Mallorca in the Spanish Super Cup in Saudi Arabia.
