Real Madrid no longer sees Manchester United as competition for the defender

The future of Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies has definitely entered saga territory in recent months. After reportedly agreeing a deal at Real Madrid in March this year, the last few months have been flooded with alleged twists and turns in his future.

According to Marca, Real Madrid considers that Davies is still on the market and his future is undecided. The Whites remain confident in Davies’ desire to play for the club, while Bayern fight to retain one of their best players. One thing they seem to be sure of is that the battle depends on them and Bayern Munich. Both Manchester United and Barcelona inquired about Davies and were linked as possible destinations, but gave up on the Canadian star after being rejected by him.

Recent reports have also linked Liverpool with a late move for Davies, but it would be a huge surprise if they swung to beat both Bayern and Madrid in a deal they have been working on for around a year. Davies was spotted partying with Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham over the weekend, and another factor they hope will help them is his close friendship with David Alaba.
