Real Betis could be sanctioned by Manchester United as part of the agreement with Antony

In the coming days, Antony will leave Manchester United to join Real Betis on loan for the remainder of the 2024-25 season. There is already an agreement between both parties and the Brazilian winger, who has fallen out of favor in recent months, will soon arrive at Benito Villamarín.

Antony will be Betis’ first signing in the winter transfer market, alongside the departures of Assane Diao and Rui Silva, while Vitor Roque could also leave before the deadline. It will be a direct loan for the Man United man, as Los Verdiblancos have no option or obligation to make a permanent deal.

Betis have high hopes for Antony, who had performed excellently at Ajax before his move to Man United in the summer of 2022. They figure they will be able to resurrect his flagging career, and the 24-year-old will have plenty of opportunities to make a positive change. Printing in Andalusia.

According to Diario AS, Betis will have to pay a higher fee to Man United as part of the loan deal if Antony does not play a certain number of minutes during the second half of the season. Although the exact figure is unknown, it is expected that this means that the winger will be a regular starter for Manuel Pellegrini’s team.

With Betis having struggled financially in recent years, they will want to avoid shelling out unnecessary funds, so they are likely to meet the demands Man United have placed on the deal. Pellegrini has also accepted it and hopes to get the best out of Antony.

This news should also mean that Antony is included in Betis’ squad for the round of 16 of the UEFA Conference League. Fran Vieites and Isco Alarcón will both be there after not being registered in the league phase, while the last place should go to the Brazilian.
