Porto to cut the unexpected gain of Nico González de Barcelona through the secret clause

Barcelona could see its cash impulse from the sale of Porto transfer from Nico González reduced to half when Manchester City approaches.

González has become an option for Pep Guardiola in the last days of the winter transfer window, since the Catalan coach seeks reinforcements.

With City now matched against Real Madrid at the UEFA Champions League the last 16 playoffs, in addition to a demanding Premier League campaign and the FA Cup, need more players.

Guardiola has already brought Defensores Vitor Reis and Abdukodir Khusanov, plus the striker Omar Marmoush for in the region of € 150 million, and the midfield is now the next approach.

Fabrizio Romano has affirmed that the contact has already been made with Porto on González and the former Masia man has a 60 million euros release clause in his contract.

However, any sale between Porto and the headlines of the Premier League will not be simple, since Barcelona has a 40% sales rate on the 23 -year -old player, which adds up to € 24 million if the clause is activated.

At this stage, it is rumored that City offers less than the clause, to try to tempt and tempt Porto for a quick sale, which would reduce how much cash is sent to Barcelona.

According to the reports of the Portuguese Outlet Registry, Porto is also evaluating its own options and could seek to cut the cut of the Barcelona agreement.

Part of the agreement to sign González in 2023 included Barcelona to retain that 40% plus a repurchase clause in Galician.

However, Porto also has the right to buy 20% more of his rights in the midfielder for 6 million euros, to the property of Barcelona in half, if that facilitates conversations with the city.

Porto will now decide whether to activate that option makes financial sense, as part of its negotiations with City, with Barcelona unable to affect its decision as the clock works in the transfer window that closes on February 3.
