Celta Vigo have returned to winning ways with a 2-0 home La Liga victory over Mallorca in Galicia.
The hosts were looking to bounce back after a difficult November, and three points on the scoreboard put them in tenth place in the table.
In a first half of few opportunities, Celta Vigo took advantage of their only early opportunity, when Hugo Álvarez scored a magnificent opening goal.

Mallorca came back strongly before the break and Celta Vigo goalkeeper Vicente Guaita made two key saves.
With the match tied heading into the final minutes, it was Celta Vigo once again who showed their killer instinct, as captain Iago Aspas settled the match.
After Antonio Raillo’s red card, Aspas showed his cool under pressure to score from close range and condemn Mallorca to their second defeat in four days.
