Barcelona have been constantly linked with Joshua Kimmich over the past year, and it seemed the emergence of Marc Casado had put them off looking for a midfielder. However, coach Hansi Flick remains interested in signing his former player for both Bayern Munich and Germany.
This was explained by German expert Christian Falk to The Daily Briefing. Falk explains that Kimmich will most likely stay at Bayern, but is open to listening to other offers. Another former coach, Pep Guardiola, is a candidate to take him to Manchester City, but Kimmich is liked by Flick, who would consider an offer from Barcelona.

Recent reports in Spain have reported that Barcelona’s priorities for next summer will likely focus more on full-backs and a left winger next summer. However, Kimmich is available as a free agent, and if they decide to move on from players like Frenkie de Jong, the Germany international could make sense as a replacement in the team.
