Barcelona coach Hansi Flick has played down further questions regarding the Dani Olmo case.
The Blaugrana will face Clasico rivals Real Madrid tomorrow in the Spanish Super Cup final in Jeddah and that has Flick’s full attention.
Olmo and teammate Pau Víctor were ineligible for the semi-final victory over Athletic Club as the legal case with La Liga and the RFEF progressed.
However, the club have since been granted temporary respite over the matter and the pair are now available for the remainder of the campaign.
The League will appeal the decision of the Higher Sports Council (CSD) and numerous clubs will express their frustration over the exemption.
Flick was cagey about whether Olmo would play against Los Blancos, but the German coach said the wider controversy does not bother him.
“He can play. He is delighted and happy and will return to the team. The noise is external. We have to be strong and united,” according to Relevo.
If Olmo plays, it will be his first game in three weeks, after his registration was canceled at the end of 2024.
