Real Betis should be prepared for a busy winter transfer window. The imminent sale of Assane Diao to Como will allow at least one or two players to be added to Manuel Pellegrini’s squad, although there could be more departures.
Betis went through a crisis in the midfield a few weeks ago, since injuries to William Carvajal (out for the entire season), Marc Roca, Johnny Cardoso and Pablo Fornals had meant that Pellegrini only had Sergi Altimira at his disposal. Johnny and Fornals are already back, but Altimira could be leaving Benito Villamarín.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Altimira has attracted interest from two Premier League clubs and more teams from across Europe are also believed to be interested.

Betis views Altimira favorably, so they would not be willing to allow an exit this month unless an irrefutable offer arrives. If so, they would also be struggling to get a replacement.
