Victory over La Real takes Valencia off the bottom of the table as Corberán looks to take the club to safety in 2025.
Both teams beat Real Madrid 4-1 against Las Palmas, Rayo Vallecano sealed a draw in Osasuna and Athletic Club achieved a victory at Celta de Vigo.

Celta de Vigo 1-2 Athletic Club
In the first league match of 2025, Athletic Club once again placed itself among the top four with three points in Galicia.
The visitors enjoyed the best of the meeting in Vigo since Alex Berenguer he passed them just after the hour mark.

Osasuna 1-1 Rayo Vallecano
The spoils were shared in a mid-table battle in Pamplona, as Rayo and Osasuna remain in ninth and tenth place respectively in the table.
Sergio Camello’s A cheeky finish allowed Rayo to get off to the perfect start, but the visitors were unable to get that important second goal as Osasuna improved after the break.

Raul Garcia The header earned a deserved point for the hosts as both teams missed their final opportunities to claim victory.
Valencia 1-0 Real Sociedad
In Sunday’s final match, a nervous Valencia crowd watched their new manager claim his first league victory since arriving at the Mestalla Stadium.
Corberán knows the magnitude of the task that awaits him, as Hugo Duro’s An early goal opened the scoring and the hosts got their three points that night.

This places them in 19th place in the standings, which is a real boost of morale for Corberán’s team as they travel to Barcelona next weekend.
