As if Lionel Messi hadn’t done enough in football, he immortalized himself in Argentina by taking them to the 2022 World Cup, leaving many iconic moments in his wake. No less important is a slogan, as the veteran striker revealed his more aggressive side in Qatar. Messi has been and will be honored by the Argentine public for decades, but the latest dedication is quite entertaining.
A petition has been started in Argentina’s capital, Buenos Aires, to change the name of a street to ‘Que Mira, Bobo’ [What are you looking at, stupid?]a phrase he threw at Dutch forward Wout Weghorst during a post-match interview following their quarter-final victory.
– What if we change the name to Carabobo to Qué mira’ bobo?

Petition opens on Change.org to change the name of ‘Avenida Carabobo’ [Stupidface Avenue] to ‘Que Mira, Bobo’, as explained by Cadena SER. Footage from the street shows a banner asking passers-by to scan a QR code and sign the petition. The street is located in the center of Buenos Aires, in the Flores neighborhood, but given that the petition currently has less than 500 signatures, it seems unlikely to cause problems for the Council at the moment.
