Just minutes after Real Madrid fell to a resounding 5-2 loss to Barcelona, Atlético took to social media to rub it in Los Blancos’ proverbial noses. Whenever five goals are scored in Spain, the ‘little hand‘, or small hand, something that players tend to hold after doing so. It was a custom popularized by Gerard Piqué during his heyday.

Just minutes after the final whistle, Atlético’s official Twitter/X account published a photo of César Azpilicueta with a little hand own, with the simple legend “Have a nice weekend.” Everything is going well at Metropolitano, which was confirmed as winter champions on Sunday after a 1-0 victory over Osasuna, which leaves it one point ahead of Los Blancos and six over Barcelona.
