Barcelona are discovering how key Lamine Yamal is to their team at the age of 17, but the good news is that he will be staying for some time. Agent Jorge Mendes has confirmed this.
None of Barcelona’s nominees will attend the Golden Boy Awards night in Turin, presented by Tuttosport, and won by Lamine Yamal. Speaking on the red carpet, Mendes explained that his injury won’t keep him out for long.

Barcelona announced on Monday afternoon that Lamine Yamal would be out for three to four weeks with a sprained ankle, causing him to miss the clash against Atlético Madrid this weekend. Mendes was also asked if Lamine Yamal would sign a new contract with the Blaugrana.
“Of course he is going to renew with Barcelona. “Lamine is a Barcelona fan,” said Mendes.

His current contract expires in 2026; As an under-18, he was only able to sign a three-year contract, but he will become an adult next summer. At that point, he will reportedly sign a new six-year contract with a €1 billion buyout clause, which was reportedly agreed verbally.
