Why Barcelona remains ‘convinced’ that Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor can be registered

Barcelona has been preaching calm about the release of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor, but there are many who are beginning to believe that they have gone too far after La Liga released both of them on their website.

However, their information to the local press is that they remain convinced that both will be able to register and play in the second half of the season. They expected La Liga to approve the sale of 100 million euros of VIP seats at the Camp Nou over the next 20 years and count the deal towards their salary cap. However, La Liga wanted payment guarantees before doing so, says Sport.

Their information is that there will be more news on January 3, when all payment will have been received and in theory they will be within their salary limit again. MD points out that the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) cannot approve a new license without the approval of LaLiga, something that has yet to happen, despite Barcelona requesting a new license. El Chiringuito reports similar information, saying that Barcelona has submitted all the necessary documents, and only La Liga’s request for more information is behind the delay.

It will undoubtedly be a nervous wait for Barcelona. La Liga’s claim that Barcelona has not presented any new evidence that would allow it to register contradicts that information. If Olmo and Víctor are not registered, they will not be able to play for the rest of the season, a fact that is being talked about as the possible end of president Joan Laporta’s mandate.
