WATCH: Kylian Mbappé continues in good form as Real Madrid break deadlock against Sevilla

Real Madrid can move up to second place in the La Liga standings by eliminating Sevilla, and are already on track to do so after taking an early lead at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Kylian Mbappé had scored in his last three games (against Girona, Atalanta and Pachuca), and has now scored four out of four with the first goal in this one. This one is a beauty as he collects the ball 25 yards out before unleashing a thunderous strike that left Sevilla goalkeeper Álvaro Fernández with no chance.

It wasn’t Real Madrid’s most convincing start, but this goal from Mbappé will allow them to calm down quickly. Carlo Ancelotti’s men should be able to control the game from here, although Sevilla will be dangerous on the counterattack with Dode Lukebakio and Stanis Idumbo Muzambo. However, if they manage to achieve this, it would be a fourth win in five games in all competitions.
