Cole Palmer has become one of the sensations of the Premier League over the last 18 months. Since arriving from Manchester City in the summer of 2023, he has become Chelsea’s talisman, even scoring the winning goal again against west London rivals Fulham on Thursday afternoon.
During this period, Palmer’s “cold” celebration, which he performs after every goal scored, has become iconic. The 22-year-old claims he started copying it from his former Manchester City team-mate Morgan Rogers, although Valencia’s Diego Lopez has now claimed it is indeed his.
On Christmas Day, Lopez posted a photo of himself doing the celebration in 2022, before Palmer started doing it.

The argument is quite useless, as there will surely be many other players who say they did the celebration before López in 2022. However, the young winger will hope to be able to bring it out on many occasions in 2025, as he points out by making a great contribution with the Valencia.
