On Tuesday, Barcelona bounced back in style with a dominant 5-1 win over Mallorca at Son Moix. After a three-match winless run in La Liga (against Real Sociedad, Celta Vigo, and Las Palmas), the Catalans ended their poor streak in convincing fashion.
Hansi Flick expressed his satisfaction with the result and the end of the team’s slump, saying, “In the first half, we had many chances and scored, though they equalised. We’re happy to have scored five goals today. We created plenty of chances before, but couldn’t convert. I’m glad the November struggle is over and December has begun.”
Flick also explained the decision to rest Robert Lewandowski, with Ferran Torres stepping in to start. “Lewandowski needed rest, and we had to manage him. Ferran played a great game and scored the first goal, which is very important for him. He’s always ready when we need him. Today, it wasn’t necessary to play Lewandowski.”
