The Serie A team could give Barcelona a €5 million boost in the January transfer market

Las Palmas centre-back Mika Mármol has been attracting interest more or less since he signed for the club, and the January transfer market will see him again on the short lists. The 23-year-old defender is currently the object of Roma’s attention.

According to Matteo Moretto in Relevo, Roma are interested in Mármol and, despite the links with Sevilla in recent weeks, his information is that Como and the Giallorossi are taking his signing very seriously. The first ones looked at him in the summer and the Las Palmas coach, Miguel Ángel Ramírez, could advance his sale.

Mármol ends his contract in 2026 and has shown little appetite for a contract renewal. Therefore, Las Palmas could try to sell him sooner rather than later, to avoid a situation like that of Álvaro Vallés; although he will not accept less than his termination clause of 10 million euros.

That could be good news for Barcelona, who still retain a 50% resale clause for his move to Andorra. Mármol starred in an impressive Las Palmas defense last season before collapsing down the stretch. In recent months, Diego Martínez has left him out of the side, but Mármol has had playing time at left back.
