The link with Toni Kroos gives impetus to Real Madrid in the search for the 21-year-old wanted by Manchester City

For at least the last year, Germany and Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz has been playing with the confidence that when he decides to move on, he will have his pick of the best clubs in Europe. The 21-year-old star could make that decision this summer and already has Bayern Munich, Manchester City and Real Madrid chasing him.

Speaking to The Daily Briefing, German expert Christian Falk explained that Manchester City has a good chance of securing his signature following Pep Guardiola’s contract extension. On the other hand, Bayern Munich are doing everything possible to unite him at club level with his international teammate Jamal Musiala.

In theory, Real Madrid is willing to spend less on Wirtz, but several points lean in their favor. Falk revealed that while his agent remains his father Hans-Joachim Wirtz, as part of an endorsement deal with Pepsi, he now has Volker Struth on his team, who is Toni Kroos’s agent. If he decides to sign for Los Blancos, Struth’s presence would be an advantage for Real Madrid.

Obviously, this is combined with the fact that Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso, who has overseen Wirtz’s development into a starter for Germany and the Bundesliga champions, is expected to end up at Real Madrid sooner rather than later. . Although some reports in the capital deny there has been any contact with Alonso, the Basque coach appears to be Carlo Ancelotti’s successor.
