The Getafe surprises the real and the ray snatches the victory to Girona

The action of Sunday’s League included some surprising results in the calendar, since Getafe extended its undefeated start until 2025 with a victory against Real Sociedad.

There were also late goals in Madrid when Rayo Vallecano got three points against Girona, but did not score in Bilbao when Leganés beat Athletic Club.

Let’s see how the action was developed in Spain on Sunday …

Ray Vallecano 2-1 Girona

The ray expanded its unbeatability streak at home in Vallecas thanks to a late double of Randy Ntenka.

The hosts had the best opportunities at all times, but they stayed behind in the hour, when Bryan Gil gave Girona advantage.

With local fans shocked by the reverse, Ntenka was on the bench during the last 15 minutes and scored two goals in three minutes to change the result.

A victory elevates the seventh place in the classification of the League, just outside the European positions, with Girona a point below them in the eighth place.

Real Sociedad 0-3 Getafe

Getafe lifted a defensive barrier at home against Barcelona last weekend to achieve a draw against Blaugrana.

They made an equally vertiginous performance in San Sebastián, but with the sharp instinct to risk and remain undefeated so far this month.

José Bordalás as Getafe coach

After supporting a pressure storm in the first half, two rapid goals from Christantus Uche and Carles Pérez sealed the victory, before the latter added a third in the last minutes. – To open your account for José Bordalás’s team.

Athletic Club 0-0 Leganés

While the goals flowed in a part of the Basque Country, they sold out in Bilbao, with the Athletic Club frustrated by an injured Leganés.

Visitors have become accustomed to getting great results lately after ending the streak of 15 consecutive victories of Atlético de Madrid last time.

The premises accumulated one opportunity after another, and an XG of 2.14 (and 29 goal attempts), but the Leganés got deep into the grass of the San Mamés stadium to seal a point.
