Real Madrid legend Roberto Carlos remains a popular figure at the club, having been an ambassador for many years and still residing in the Spanish capital. However, those working at the club may be seeing more of the iconic Brazilian left-back than they expected.
Carlos, 51, has recently separated from his wife, Mariana Luccon, with whom he has two children; In total, the former Inter defender has 11 children from 7 different mothers. However, his relationship with Luccon has been the most stable, after 15 years together, and Fiesta (via ED) explains that a complicated divorce process is underway to separate his assets of 160 million euros.
Despite his extensive assets, Carlos is not currently staying in any hotel, but rather, according to the same source, he sleeps at the Real Madrid training ground in Valdebebas. He has temporarily moved there, with his in-laws currently staying at one of their properties in Madrid, and Luccon still lives at home.
This is not to say that Carlos is struggling on a physiotherapist’s bench, where he has supposedly had more than one hangover, but it is likely that he is in one of the rooms at the training ground. Los Blancos have five-star rooms in their facilities to accommodate players in case they arrive home late from their travels, allowing them to prioritize sleep: this summer Kylian Mbappé moved into Toni Kroos’s old room.
