Bayern Munich are increasingly confident they can retain Alphonso Davies amid interest from Real Madrid over the last month, despite him now being able to sign a pre-contract with Los Blancos. Your future is reaching a crossroads.
Last week, sources in Germany described a new contract with Bayern for Davies as “close” to being finalised. The Athletic confirms that agent Nedal Huoseh was in Munich for talks last week and further talks are expected to take place this week.
While optimism in the Spanish capital is fading, they say that if Real Madrid want to secure Davies’ signature, they will have the chance to be heard again by Huoseh and Davies before a deal is finalized – an opportunity that applies to any of her other suitors.
However, presenting an improved offer would go against Real Madrid’s strategy so far. After agreeing terms in March 2024, they more or less waited for Davies’ contract to expire, having established that they did not want to negotiate a fee. It is said from the Spanish capital that they will not increase their proposal, which seems destined to lead to a new agreement at Bayern.
