Osasuna dealt crushing blow following injury to Bayern Munich loanee

Bryan Zaragoza had been thriving at Osasuna, revitalizing his career and becoming one of the most dangerous players in La Liga. However, the forward will now face several months on the sidelines due to injury.

Zaragoza was forced off before the end of Osasuna’s 1-1 draw with Sevilla after suffering a fractured fifth metatarsal. The exact duration of his absence is still unclear, but Diario AS reports it will be at least a few months.

Zaragoza had been a key figure for Osasuna this season after joining on loan from Bayern Munich, following a difficult stint in Germany. He has contributed 5 assists and scored against Barcelona in their 4-2 victory, ranking joint-fourth for assists in La Liga. His replacement, Jose Arnaiz, also suffered a muscular issue shortly after, though his diagnosis is yet to be revealed.
