LOOK: Stunner Federico Valverde doubles Real Madrid’s lead over Sevilla

Real Madrid is on track to finish 2024 in second position in the La Liga standings. A win over Sevilla would allow them to keep pace with Atlético Madrid at the top of the table, and they are on track to do so having doubled their lead over Sevilla.

It was Kylian Mbappé who opened the scoring at the Santiago Bernabéu, scoring for the fourth consecutive game. Ten minutes later, the lead has been reduced to two: Mbappé’s goal was good, but this one is even better from Federico Valverde, known for scoring impressive goals.

Real Madrid are now on course for their fourth win in five games in all competitions, as Carlo Ancelotti’s side appear to have overcome their poor run of form a few weeks ago. They should be able to see this from here and if so, they would finish 2024 in good style.
