This century was Smith’s third in the Big Bash League, making him the joint record holder for most centuries in the tournament’s history, tied with Ben McDermott.

The Sydney Sixers set themselves a huge goal

The Sydney Sixers, who were asked to bat first, posted a commanding total of 220/3 in the allotted 20 overs. Along with Smith’s sensational strike, the Sixers’ total was bolstered by a valuable contribution from their captain, Moisés Henriques. Henriques, playing an important supporting role, scored 46 quick runs off 28 balls, including 6 fours and 2 sixes.
