Real Madrid are heading towards another victory in La Liga, one that would allow them to overtake Barcelona and take second place. After dominating the first half against Sevilla, they have now added their fourth just eight minutes into the second half.
It was Kylian Mbappé who opened the scoring at the Santiago Bernabéu, and Federico Valverde added the second shortly after. The third would come courtesy of Rodrygo Goes, although Sevilla’s response was swift, with Isaac Romero heading home 60 seconds later. However, Real Madrid have recovered their three-goal cushion, with Brahim Díaz’s 4-1.

It’s a fantastic Real Madrid team goal, finished off by Mbappé playing in Brahim to score his first goal for the club since August. That should be more than enough now for the points to stay in the Spanish capital, as Carlo Ancelotti’s side are on course to finish a fantastic 2024 in great style.
