Barcelona still lacks the money it needs to complete the registration of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor, that is if La Liga approves the registrations. The Blaugrana missed the deadline to maintain their registration and, unless La Liga makes an exception, Barcelona faces losing both for free.
The Blaugrana have assured that the case will be resolved today, but have not made any public statement in this regard, except for Hansi Flick’s pre-match press conference. The Barcelona coach admitted that he was not happy with the situation, but was confident that the club would solve the matter.

According to RAC1, the saga could continue for several more days. This Tuesday afternoon, Barcelona only received 28 million euros from one of the companies that bought a percentage of the commercial rights to its VIP boxes at the Camp Nou for the next 20 years. That sale will provide the 100 million euros that Barcelona claims will allow it to register both Olmo and Víctor. The club has said that it does not contemplate any situation that does not see them both available.
Only once both are registered will president Joan Laporta address the media to explain the entire debacle. However, they trust that La Liga will make an exception and register both players, having already canceled their registrations. If their registrations are not granted, Barcelona intends to take the matter to court and hopes to obtain an extension of the case to keep both players registered through legal means.
“I was not happy with the situation and the players are not happy with the situation. We have to train, that is our job, the club has to do its job. The confidence is there, I am always positive, but we have to wait for the decision. “

If this were the case, both players would have the right to terminate their contract on the last day of the transfer market, to be able to sign for other clubs and start working. They also believe the club will be back within its salary cap once La Liga validates the sale.
In a rapidly evolving situation, the consequences of the case will be significant. President Laporta is in the crosshairs of many who are fighting for his permanence at the club, and a negative result will probably weaken his figure. On the other hand, if Olmo and Víctor are registered, other clubs would be considering taking legal action against La Liga for adulterating the competition.
