Enthusiasm is growing for ILT20 2025 opening ceremony which will take place on January 11 at the Dubai International Stadium. This year’s event promises to be a spectacular blend of cricket and Bollywood, with performances from some of the industry’s biggest stars.
Star-studded performances at ILT20 opening ceremony
The opening ceremony will begin at 7:30 pm IST with a dazzling display of entertainment. Shahid Kapoorknown for his dynamic dance moves and hits, will headline the event alongside Pooja Hegde and Sonam Bajwa. The trio is expected to perform their popular songs, culminating in an impressive fireworks display that will light up the Dubai sky. Adding to the glamour, the renowned Bollywood producer and actor Jackky Bhagnani will co-host the ceremony with Ridhima Pathak.
Shahid expressed his excitement about the event and stated: “The opening night promises a unique fusion of the best of Bollywood and the pinnacle of T20 cricket, set against the stunning backdrop of the Dubai International Stadium, famous as The Ring of Fire.”

After the opening ceremony, the opening match of ILT20 2025 will begin at 8:45 pm IST, with a thrilling rematch between the defending champions. MY Emirates and Capitals of Dubai.

Tournament summary and participating star players
The third season of the International T20 League (ILT20) will run from January 11 to February 9 and will feature six franchises competing in a double round-robin format. Each team will play every other team twice during the group stage. The top four teams will advance to the playoffs, culminating in what is expected to be an exciting final.
This season’s tournament features an impressive line-up of international cricket talent. Notable players include Andre Russell, Nicholas Pooram, David Warner, Sam Curran, Sikandar Raza inter alia. Franchises have retained several key players while bringing in new talent to improve their rosters.
