He recognized that his job is to perform and he has not been able to do so. Although he feels a little upset by the situation, he maintains the same mentality before and after the game, emphasizing that the past is behind him.
“The Champions Trophy selection was not under my control. The selectors answered the call. They decide who to play with. My job is to act. I haven’t been able to do that. I think he was a little upset about that. I have the same mentality before and after today’s game. The day has passed,Litton was quoted by ESPNCricinfo.
He also acknowledges that his exclusion from the team was due to his lack of performance, stating that there is nothing to hide and that it is a normal and simple reason. “Maybe not because of the selectors, but it’s easy to figure out why I wasn’t chosen in the team. They abandoned me because I wasn’t acting. There is nothing to hide about it. Basic, normal,”he added.
Das promises to improve and stay focused
The wicker batsman acknowledged his recent poor form and expressed his commitment to improving his game. He stressed that progress would take time and that his focus is on personal growth rather than proving something to others. Despite not playing well in the last few months, he aims to be more consistent, especially after his recent innings against Durbar Rajshahi.
“I haven’t been playing well, so I need to improve my game. I won’t change overnight, so I have to keep trying. People will love it when he scores runs. I’m not there to prove it to anyone. I’m just looking to improve. I don’t think he’s been playing well the last few months. I’ll try to be more consistent from this point on, especially after this post.” Das concluded.

Das’ ODI struggles
Das’s exclusion is especially notable given his previous success in limited overs cricket. However, their recent struggles in the ODI format have raised concerns. Since his memorable century against Afghanistan in 2022, he has failed to reach even a half-century in his last 13 ODI matches as a top-order batsman.
