Real Betis have a tough task on Saturday as they try to address a run of three consecutive La Liga defeats against Barcelona at the Benito Villamarín. However, they have been given a significant morale boost.
Star playmaker Isco Alarcón has returned to the matchday squad for the first time since the foot fracture he suffered in May that required two operations. The former Real Madrid player was their key player last season, but he has not yet been able to feature with the green and white team this season. By bringing Giovani Lo Celso back to the club in August, Betis have done a solid job of providing creativity, but Isco was one of La Liga’s best last season.

Still, Betis remain somewhat shorthanded: Johnny Cardoso and Pablo Fornals are not fit enough to play, while Héctor Bellerín, William Carvalho and Marc Roca are also out long-term. Betis are likely to prepare with Vitor Roque leading the way against their parent club.
