Tanush Kotian, a 26-year-old all-rounder from Mumbai, has been asked to prepare to travel to Australia immediately, with reports indicating that he will depart on Tuesday ahead of the crucial Boxing Day Test scheduled for December 26 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. (CGM).
Kotian has made a name for himself in domestic cricket, particularly during the 2023-24 Ranji Trophy season, where he excelled with both bat and ball. He took 29 wickets in 10 matches at an impressive average of 16.96, while scoring 502 runs, including five half-centuries and one century. His outstanding performance earned him the Player of the Tournament title, contributing significantly to Mumbai’s 42nd Ranji title. Adding to his recent achievements, Kotian was part of India’s A team during their tour of Australia ahead of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, gaining valuable experience that could prove beneficial heading into this high-pressure environment.
