Barcelona’s seal contract renewal for the star midfielder until 2030

Barcelona has announced a third contract renewal in the one -week space, after a new agreement for Pedri was confirmed on Thursday afternoon. There were few suggestions that the Canarian islander would go to another place, or that I wanted to, but with only 18 months in his previous agreement, it will be a relief to obtain it.

His new contract will be extended until 2030, ensuring his future for another four years beyond his previous one. It is deduced from the renovations that had been announced for Ronald Araujo last week, followed by Gerard Martin. Gavi is expected to also renew its agreement with the club imminently after reaching an agreement on the terms, and Lamine Yamal will also be renewed before the start of the next season once it turns 18.

Pedri, still only 22 years, broke into the scene in 2020 at the age of only 17, but had been inside and out of action during the last two seasons through a series of injuries. However, this season has left behind physical conditioning problems, returning to its best game and dictating the game for a Barcelona that once again seems challengers in Europe.

This season has already been involved in 2,459 minutes, scoring 4 times and helping 4 times in 32 games. Appearing in each game, but one through a disease last weekend against Valencia, Pedri has begun in 30 of those games, apparently benefiting from the constant game time.

The sports director Deco has established the objective of not anyone in the Barcelona team enters the next season with only one remaining year in his treatment, which means that all the risk of doing so must receive new agreements or sell in the summer. With Pedri, Martin and Araujo renewed, and it is expected that the agreements for Gavi, Inigo Martínez and Lamine Yamal Sigan, Deco has labeled a significant part of their list of pending tasks. However, Eric García, Andreas Christensen, Frenkie de Jong, Inaki Pena and Héctor Fort are situations to resolve.
