Barcelona publishes official statement on the drama of the signings of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor

Barcelona have denied any possibility of extending the deadline to register Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor for the second half of the season. The Blaugrana are waiting for the green light from LaLiga with just three hours left before the deadline ends.

The Catalans confirm that they have requested new licenses from the RFEF for Olmo and Víctor, although they have clearly yet to grant them. Barcelona has agreed to sell some of its VIP boxes for the next 20 years at the Camp Nou to a Qatari fund for around 100 million euros. The League is now reviewing the documentation and has asked for proof that payment has been made.

If these licenses are not granted in time, neither Olmo nor Víctor will be able to play the rest of the season. There is a double risk in the case of Olmo, who has a clause in his contract that allows him to leave for free if he is not registered with the full contract paid, although his agent has announced that he will remain at the club.
