Barcelona coach Hansi Flick could not explain how his team drew 1-1 in La Liga in Getafe.
The Blaugrana have enjoyed a winning start to 2025 but were held back by their old enemies Getafe as they failed to find a winner in the second half.
A fourth consecutive league draw at the Coliseum Stadium highlights the problem Barcelona have in fighting off the resilient hosts.
The home fans increased the tension to try to unbalance Barcelona and the Getafe players responded in the same way.
It was a typically hostile environment in Madrid and Barcelona’s stars were unable to find a winner, with Pedri claiming they may need to win every game to have a chance of winning the title in 2025.
Flick was less pessimistic and the German said the missed opportunities came back to haunt him once again.
“We had many opportunities to win and we are disappointed. You will be able to see what it is like to play in Getafe. They defend well, but we don’t get it right in front of goal,” Marca quotes.
“There was a lot of emotion in the stadium, in all the plays and tackles. I’ve never experienced it like this, it’s new for me. “I’m not happy, but we have to accept what happened today.”
