Barcelona is expected to lose the summer cash impulse of 25 million euros

Barcelona hopes to have a very big summer, although to do it, they need to raise money for a significant number of signings. They received 13.3 million euros as part of the agreement that saw Nico González move from FC Porto to Manchester City, but more funds will be needed to achieve their ideal transfer window.

Another possible source of income involves Vitor Roque. The Brazilian striker is borrowed in Real Betis for the season, and a purchase option for 25 million euros is included in that agreement. Since Barcelona does not seem to have the 19 -year -old, they expect this to be activated in the summer.

However, that seems unlikely to happen, according to MD. The report establishes that Betis is not expected to go to Roque, since they have just spent 13 million euros to bring Juan “Cucho” Hernández of the Columbus crew on the side of the MLS.

The president of Betis, Angel Haro, commented on the situation on Wednesday and, as expected, maintained the open situation.

“It’s still too early to see that. We have to have confidence in Vitor, see how the year ends, we have an open possibility, if the two parties agree with their continuity … they are still the first days. It is true that we needed objectives in general, not for a specific striker. Now he has one more partner to compete. “

It is worth noting that Betis has the option of extending the Roque loan in additional 12 months, and at this stage, this event would be the most likely result. Although he has only scored seven goals in 29 appearances this season, there are little doubt that they see him as a good option to have in Manuel Pellegrini’s team to compete with Hernández and Cedric Bakambu.
