Tomorrow Barcelona will appeal to the Ministry of Sports (CSD) for the registrations of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor, Monday being a holiday for ‘King’s Day’ in Spain. However, according to legal experts, they are fighting an uphill battle.
The Blaugrana will play for an emergency injunction to keep Olmo and Víctor registered while they present their case for why the registration period should be extended until February 2, including the same period of the January transfer window. Some say they could also argue a clause in the RFEF regulations that points to force majeure as an alternative reason for registering players outside the stipulated deadlines.
The RFEF has issued a report favorable to Barcelona admitting that the regulations may not be in accordance with the case of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor. A reform of the regulations is being studied and will be approved in the coming months. Barça will use it in court. @FCBRAC1

The urgent precautionary measure, unlike a precautionary measure, generally only listens to one of the parties to process the matter urgently, but La Vanguardia (via Diario AS) says that the CSD will listen to the arguments of the League and the RFEF regarding the motion. which could delay the resolution of the case. Barcelona expected a decision on that matter within 24 hours.
For its part, El Periódico has consulted two jurists who are experts in sports law, and they have stated that it is unlikely that the CSD will side with Barcelona. Not only would it mean going against the regulations that have been agreed upon with the RFEF, and starting another conflict with the Federation, after the difficult relations of recent history. The fact that they are not the last resort either, since Barcelona can still appeal to ordinary justice, means that they could ‘wash their hands’ of the situation.
The only contradictory report in this regard comes from RAC1, which states that the RFEF has sent Barcelona a report indicating that the regulations may not cover the registration cases of Olmo and Víctor. They are supposedly studying a change in regulations in the coming months and Barcelona will use it in court.
