Barcelona favorite to complete the free agent signing of the talented 18-year-old attacker

In recent weeks, speculation has abounded about the future of Malaga sensation Antonio Cordero. The 18-year-old winger, who has racked up three goals and three assists in just seven starts this season, has been linked to several big European clubs, including Barcelona, Real Madrid and Arsenal.

Cordero, highly valued throughout Spain, is out of contract at the end of the season and will almost certainly not renew. This would make him an excellent market opportunity, and it is one that Barcelona in particular intends to take advantage of.

According to Relevo, the Catalans are currently favorites to sign Cordero when he becomes a free agent, although they currently face competition from Ajax, who have spoken to the teenager’s representatives in recent weeks.

Given that he plays as a left back, Cordero could be an excellent low-cost signing that Barcelona can integrate little by little into the first team. It is a position that the club intends to address next summer, although it wants to do so with a big-money signing (like Rafael Leao).
