In exactly 18 days, Dani Olmo will no longer be registered in La Liga, meaning he will not be able to play for Barcelona during the second half of the season. The Catalans are currently working to be able to count on the midfielder, although it will not be easy for them to get their way.
La Liga is aware of the situation and, although president Javier Tebas hopes that Barcelona will solve its problem, efforts are being made to hinder the process. According to Mas que Pelotas (via ED), Atlético de Madrid and Athletic Club have called on Tebas and LaLiga not to leave room for Olmo’s registration.

Olmo was only registered during the summer because Barcelona were able to use 80% of Andreas Christensen’s salary, but now that the Danish defender has almost returned from his long-term injury, this route cannot be continued. It will be very interesting to see how things develop.
