The future of Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies has been a difficult saga to follow, with several twists already taken. He seems willing to enter the final six months of his contract without an agreement with anyone.
According to The Daily Briefing, Davies is keeping his options open ahead of the January transfer window. Bayern still have hopes of securing a new contract after making significant progress in talks over recent weeks, but further strain in relations between the Bavarian club and agent Nedal Huoseh has frozen any negotiations until January.
Huoseh will spend time in England in the new year, and although Liverpool may join him, Christian Falk cites Real Madrid and Manchester United as the two most likely alternatives at the moment. He points out that if Liverpool want him, they would be in the fight.
The latest reports in Spain are that Real Madrid are increasingly frustrated by Davies’ indecision and will want an answer by early January. Earlier this month it looked like Bayern were close to a deal, but it appears to have been premature. Barcelona had also inquired about their demands, but it seems their finances prevent them from making a genuine offer.
