During match 23 of Big Bash League 2024-25cricket fans were treated to an unusual and inventive display of athleticism when Melbourne Stars‘left-arm medium pace bowler joel paris attempted a remarkable escape against Melbourne Renegades batter Jacob Bethel. Paris did not have to wait long to redeem itself. Later in the same over he dismissed Bethell, who had been anchoring the Renegades’ innings and was just one run away from his first BBL half-century.
